hp-mini-backup is a command-line application that copies files from its owner's
own private server to that same owner's own Google Drive account. It exists to keep a second,
off-site copy of irreplaceable data — configuration, databases and family photographs —
in case the original hardware fails.
Who uses it
Only its owner. It is not a public service, has no sign-up, and is not distributed.
It authenticates to exactly one Google Account: the owner's.
How it works
It runs unattended on the owner's own server, on a daily schedule.
Files are encrypted on that server before they are uploaded, so what is stored in
Google Drive is ciphertext.
It requests access only to Google Drive, and only to carry out those backups.
See the privacy policy for what the application accesses and how it is
handled.
